Crayon sur coquille

ALECHINSKY, Pierre

This extremely rare to find portfolio dates from one of the best periods of Alechinsky's oeuvre.
It contains a suite of 10 lithographs, a colophon sheet and a sheet with the titles given by Alechinsky and with Jean-Jacques Lévêque's comments for each title.
All lithographs as well as the colophon sheet are signed and numbered with pencil.

Size: 56 x 42,8 cm.
Edition: 100 copies + XII e.a.
Condition: the cover itself has some small tears in its spine, the lithographs however are in very good condition.

At the back of each lithograph, one can remark a darkening of the paper that vaguely reflects the image of the front. This is normal. It is caused by the oil from the inks and for the expert it is in itself already a guarantee for its age and its authenticity.
